Since my grandmother decided at age 6 it was important for me to learn the piano, making music has been a very large part of my life.

I took piano lesson up until High School, where I learned to play the clarinet in the marching and concert bands. I also played keyboard in a few rock and roll bands during high school and college. After leaving college after two years and entering the working world, I would play in bands most weekends. When the last band I was in got an offer to play for several weeks in Quebec, I quit my day job, gave up my apartment and went on the road. It wasn’t to last however and upon returning after a couple of months I needed a change. So I followed friends and moved to Seattle. I also became a church organist in the early 70’s, when our organist retired and someone said, “well Bill plays the piano, certainly he can do this!” I would continue playing church organ up until we moved to Florida in 2001. Now it’s a hobby where I’ll sometime perform at the monthly gatherings of the Piano Club here in The Villages or in a local variety show.
